Dear Growing Kids God’s Way leader:
Below you will find a number of helpful forms commonly used among Growing Kids God’s Way leaders. The forms are in a ‘Word’ formate and can be amended to fit the needs of your class. They also can be adapted to work with the other GFI classes. Leader’s are free to make the appropriate changes. The Touchpoints of Love test for adults and children are PDFs ready to print. They cannot be adjusted. A summary purpose and link for each document is found below. Enjoy your class.
Word Forms:
- Growing Kids God’s Way Student Application is available for downloading. Leaders and churches find it helpful to host an informational meeting to preview and highlight the essential teachings of Growing Kids God’s Way. That is a good time to invite potential students to fill out their application and return it with the class fees, signaling their commitment to the class.
- Growing Kids God’s Way class schedule is the schedule leaders passed out the first night of class. It shows what reading assignment and homework is due week by week. Two schedule options are available. First page includes the GKGW Introductory Video added to the course schedule. The second page is without the Introductory video included as part of the course.
- Growing Kids God’s Way Refreshment Sign-up sheet to be used the first night of class. Be sure you have a steady stream of desserts!
- Growing Kids God’s Way Introduction Class document is the outline for leaders to help guide and keep them on track on the first night of class. This guide covers the basics.
- Growing Kids God’s Way Foundations questions can be passed out at the end of the first class and used as the review questions for the ‘Foundations” section of Growing Kids God’s Way.
- Growing Kids God’s Way Video run times document shows how long to let homework review discussion time go on. If it’s going to be a long video, leaders can make sure they cut off discussion at an appropriate time so they can keep the class on track and not run over the times. Leaders should attempt to honor people’s time by ending promptly at the established class ending times.
- A Sample Letter for the Father’s Mandate is a great letter to hand out after watching the Father’s Mandate video. Use it to encourage your Dads to write a letter to their children. The sample letter attached is addressed to a daughter but can be easily adapted for sons and the appropriate age of the children in the home.
- Growing Kids God’s Way attendance sheet – Use this to track each person’s attendance throughout the course. Think about giving a prize/award to the couple with the best attendance. Keeping attendance is also helpful to note any couple having trouble with consistent attendance.
- Student Couchtime Report Card – This is a fun idea to use after session two. Each couple should receive a copy and track their couch time each week. Many GKGW classes use monetary incentives. The couples with the best attendance splits the pot at the end of the class.
- Leader’s Couchtime grading sheet – To be used by leaders to keep track of how well each couple did the previous week with their couch time. The leaders averages the grade at the end awards the money to the winning couple.
